Review: Fickle Finger Fate - Summer Love

Fickle Finger Fate is the band based in the Saint Louis area, but led by non native Guitarist/Vocalist Jamie Sin. The band focus is rooted deep in well crafted songs and solid musicianship. You can call them “Gen X” rock or a “Dad” band, but never insincere.

Summer Love is comprised of 4 incredible tracks where they use genres, such as Rock and Alternative. The album opens with groovy composition called Your Best Friend which, in my opinion, is a great choice for the album opener. Drums and electric guitars bring vibes of rock bands of the past century. The third song - Summer Love - starting with vocals, drums and additionally with bass, it literally makes us feel the whole mood of the album. Catchy melodies and powerful chorus will definitely stay in head for a long time. The 4th song on the record, It's Such A Good Feeling, impressed me with its dynamics. The pleasant vocals and drum beat make this song an example of awesome modern rock track. The acoustically touched Ghost is the one that help you to dive deep in thoughts after a hard day.

To sum up, everything in Summer Love comes together in a stream of consciousness style. This is unforgettable journey into the mix of rock music and meaningful lines in one piece.
