Review: Nona Brown - We Are Healed

Nona’s gospel music roots led to many wonderful opportunities such as working with Josh Groban as choir coordinator for the Northern California tour, guest vocalist and composer on three national recordings of the Gospel Music Workshop of America, guest vocalist at Oprah Winfrey’s Legends Ball and group member of gospel music legend Edwin Hawkins and the New Edwin Hawkins Singers.

We Are Healed starts with applause and meaningful spoken word verse, accompanied by the piano, which catch listener's attention right from the beginning. In this part Nona, Tracy and Ashling share the story about the illness they had to pass through. Hovewer, this didn't get the women down, and these strong lines prove it: - But I won’t let fear, and anxiety Keep me from thinking back on what He did At calvary. The song gives the listeners almost 10 minutes of the enjoyment because of the whole mood of the track and carefully chosen instruments, making it a perfect example of the modern gospel track about the strength of mind and healing. Eventually it develops from piano to full track, and strong vocals make the lyrics even more powerful.

To sum up, We Are Healed is the amazing gospel song that will stay on repeat for a long time.
