Review: Quizboy - Rest In Pain

Quizboy is a project coming from the Portland, Oregon area. A dynamic range of rock influenced music, Quizboy releases albums and singles on a regular basis. The band also produces sound samples, promo clips, and instrumentals.

Rest In Pain is comprised of 11 incredible tracks in Rock genre. The album opens with the track called An Intro - which, in my opinion, is a great choice for the album opener. The composition is followed by Cliched - tune with pleasant melody, which gives listeners vibes of rock music of past century. The same feeling I got from the 11th track on the record - Still Dreaming. Devil's Due and Rhetoric surprise us with the groovy beat: these songs literally makes us feel the whole mood of the album. Melodic arrangements will definitely stay in the head for a long time. The 6th song on the record, titled just like the album - Rest In Pain, - impressed me with its atmosphere and drums: they made this song interesting and remarkable, as well as Reflection. Lip Service, which is one of my favorites from the album, is an easily memorable song: it has interesting rhythm, catchy melody and rich arrangement. Hello, the 5th song on the record, is the Oasis cover. We can hear the uniqueness the band added in this version. Acoustically touched Contemplated, Complicated and Indiscretion are the ones that help you to dive deep in thoughts after a hard day.

To sum up, everything in Rest In Pain comes together in a stream of consciousness style. These 11 tracks will definitely transfer you into another dimension of inspirational Rock music.
