Review: Remotejazz - Back In The Groove

Remotejazz is the music of Bob Bryant. A keyboard player, composer and producer based in Frederick, Maryland. Bob's interest in music has led him to the contemporary jazz genre where his biggest influences have been: Paul Hardcastle, The Jazzmasters, Rick Braun, Richard Elliott, Peter White, Chris Botti and Soul Ballet.

Back In The Groove is comprised of 14 incredible tracks where he uses genres, such as Electronic Jazz. The album opens with beautiful composition called just like the album - Back In The Groove - which, in my opinion, is a great choice for the album opener. Starting with catchy beat, it brings vibes of electronic jazz music. The composition is followed by You Can Make A Difference - tune with pleasant melody, which gives listeners relaxing vibes, as well as Funky Tuesday. Vision and Living In The Present surprise us with the groovy bass: this song literally makes us feel the whole mood of the album. Melodic arrangement will definitely stay in the head for a long time. The 5th song on the record, With All Your Heart, impressed me with its atmosphere and percussion: strings and keys made this song interesting and remarkable. Go The Extra Mile, which is one of my favorites from the album, is an easily memorable song: it has interesting rhythm, catchy melody and rich arrangement. Motivated By Love, the 10th song on the record, is the one that will definitely make listeners relax because of its calmness. Catchy keys and effects make this track an example of modern Electronic Jazz track. Annointed, as well as So Afraid Of Change, surprises listeners with the retro-touched arrangement which perfectly contrast with other songs on the record. In Her Memory and Free From Judgement are the ones that help you to dive deep in thoughts after a hard day.

To sum up, everything in Back In The Groove comes together in a stream of consciousness style. These 14 tracks will definitely transfer you into another dimension of inspirational Electronic Jazz music.
