Review: The William Brothers Shipping Company - The Cedarhouse Sessions

Luke and Lillie Fischer are the two founding members of "The William Brothers Shipping Company", currently based in Los Angeles California. As a married couple, they spent years playing music together for fun, however, the band's story truly began in Garry Puttnam's studio,Cederhouse Mastering and Recording, in New Hampshire. Luke had a couple outlines for songs but didn't know what the end product was going to be, Lillie grew up singing in choirs and cars.

The Cedarhouse Sessions is the brand new and beautifully composed EP. It opens with the composition called Cigarettes which, in my opinion, is a great choice for the album opener. Starting with the guitars, personally for me it sounds beautiful and relaxing. The composition is followed by song titled Westside - it starts with acoustic guitar, and Lillie's powerful vocals make this track very soulful. When the duo's voices mix, they sound so natural together. In my opinion, this song is the best from the EP for its atmosphere.

To sum up, everything in The Cedarhouse Sessions comes together in a stream of consciousness style. This is unforgettable journey into the acoustic music.
